Why these are different

What generic planners give you

  • Blank pages with no context for why you feel stuck
  • Generic prompts written for anyone, meaning no one
  • Motivation without mechanics
  • One more thing on your to-do list

What these are built from

  • Frameworks grounded in vocational psychology and identity theory
  • Tools shaped by fourteen years in clinical and case management work
  • Concrete steps for the actual mechanics of a career pivot
  • Systems built from real client patterns, not guesses

Who this is for

  • You built a career during survival mode, and it worked.
  • You are starting to ask who you are outside of what you do.
  • You feel capable, but you cannot name a clear next step.
  • You have read the self-help books, and they did not address the actual mechanics of a career pivot.
  • You want frameworks, not affirmations.
  • You are ready to do the work yourself, on your own schedule.

About Erika

I spent fourteen years in healthcare before I started this work, moving through crisis intervention, women's health, and case management. I have sat across from people at the hardest points in their lives, and I learned how much of what looks like a personal failing is actually a mechanical, solvable problem.

I started Imperfectly Empowered because I kept meeting capable women who had built careers during survival mode and had no framework for what came next. Not because they lacked ability, but because no one had ever handed them the actual mechanics of a pivot.

These tools are built from that experience: clinical training, vocational science, and years of watching what actually helps someone move from stuck to clear.

What clients say

"I came to Erika three months after leaving a job that had completely wrecked my confidence. I didn't know what I was good at anymore or what direction to go. After four weeks I had a clear picture of my strengths, a list of career directions that actually fit me, and a 90-day plan I felt confident executing. For the first time in a long time, I trusted myself again."
